Glass on the Oracle building in Dubai Internet City was hit by falling debris, while another piece landed on a residential tower in Dubai Marina after aerial interceptions over the emirate. Dubai officials said there was no fire and no injuries in either location, with emergency teams moving quickly to secure the sites and deal with minor exterior damage.
Road closures followed in parts of the city as residents shared videos of smoke and flashes overhead, and at least three blasts were reported during the interception sequence. Dubai’s media office said the incidents were limited to debris falling after air defence action, not direct strikes on the buildings themselves. That distinction mattered on a tense night: people in Marina towers were told to stay clear of affected areas, and congregations across Dubai shifted church prayers online after safety concerns disrupted normal routines.
Beyond Dubai, the wider UAE was handling a much broader attack. Multiple reports said the country intercepted ballistic missiles and drones aimed at targets in the Gulf, while separate debris falls were reported near energy infrastructure outside Dubai. Fatalities were reported elsewhere in the UAE, but Dubai’s confirmed picture stayed narrowly contained: damage to a building facade in Internet City, debris at a Marina building, some temporary road closures, and no casualties. For residents here, the immediate watch is practical rather than dramatic — traffic changes around affected roads, building access where debris landed, and whether public gatherings continue with extra precautions over the coming days.
